Do You Want to Increase Your Sales on eBay but Don't Know What To Sell On eBay?

Imagine if you knew which not only are the best sellers on eBayp are, but also which poducts on eBay are making eBay sellers the most money...and you also knew where they were purchasing them from!.

Well that is just what our research lab does for you, and we can help you build your online empire, one high profit making eBay product at a time to whatever size you wish.

Just one average product we find for our clients makes on average $30.62 profit and sells at a rate of 1.2 times per day. That is $257.91 profit per week or $1,117.63 profit per month for just one product.

A profitable, resilient eBay business looks like a tree with many leaves, with each leaf representing one income producing product. Just like nature, the more leaves a tree has, the more sunlight it captures, or in the case of an online eBay business, the more money it collects.

How do we do it?

Back in 2005 our founder Neil Waterhouse quietly discovered a way to monitor what people were searching for on the internet and how to track the searches to see if a sale happens.

The sale could either be a digital product like an eBook or physical product like a pair of shoes. This allowed Neil to always know what the hottest and most profitable items on the internet were.

Neil called this "The Lab" and until 2011 it was kept top secret.

The Lab would tell us exactly which eBooks were the top sellers around the world.

Up until 2007 Neil was just using The Lab to find markets for eBooks however every year more and more people purchased more and more physical products over the internet from market places like eBay and less from conventional bricks and mortar stores.

Neil then asked the question.. "Could we use The Lab data to automatically find the most profitable products on eBay? Not just the top sellers, as there is software already available which can tell us that, but which items make the most profit?

A top seller means nothing, there are many hot selling items making less than 30% profit. We are only interested in items making at least 100% profit and selling at least 15 times every month.

The hardest part of any business including online and eBay businesses is finding items to sell which are in hot demand then sourcing the product for substantially less than they sell for.

If you can solve these 2 issues then you have a business.

Before Waterhouse Research, Neil like many other eBayer's regularly attended trade shows in Hong Kong and China, spending days walking from booth to booth. This one in the picture above was held by Global Sources in Hong Kong and had over 4000 booths. After your marathon walk through over 4000 booths, you then go home and research the products to analyse which products make profit and which items to sell on eBay.

This got Neil thinking, what if he used The Labs data of what was selling on eBay and found a way to automatically work out how much profit was in each sale on eBay? It took 3 years and over $100,000 invested in the lab to do it, then in September 2009 the first product came out.

Here is how the lab works..

Our data centre uses multiple servers to track over 4 billion keywords per week (those are the words which people type in to search for on places like Google, eBay, Amazon, Comparison shopping engines, Bing, Yahoo etc).

Each search is then tracked to find out which ones resulted in sales.

The searches which resulted in sales are then sorted by over 60,000 filters to reduce them to only leave high profit, low cost items which meet our criteria.

Some of the filters to remove products are:

Filter

Reason

Adult products

Everything must be family friendly

Brand names

Most low cost high profit items come from China. China is notorious for copying everything so we do not want to get involved with any item which could be a copy.
So far we have over 80,000 brand names excluded

No fads, trends or seasonal i.e. Christmas

We only want goods which are hot all year

High competition

Too much competition decreases our profit margins

Low price < USD $150 sell price

This is where the hottest items are.  Even in markets where the economy is doing it hard like the US, people still buy cheap items. Many people cannot afford a new house, car, holiday etc however they will buy something cheap.

ROI (Return on Investment) < 100%

Only high profit items

Minimum of 30,000 searches per month

Only hot items

Our product servers contain over 300,000 products including the manufactures contact information.

The final server

If the profit of an item is greater than 100% and the rest of the criteria is met, then all the data is then sent to a staff member for manual checking.

Here is an example of one product from our lab.
